Friday Freebies: Vegetarian Recipes Ebooks

It's time for the Friday Freebies. Can you believe how fast and tiring this week had been?  It's only 10 am EST and I can't wait to get my second mug of coffee.  Oh, did I ever mentioned that I just realized that my beloved coffee mug hold 2 1/2 cups? Yikes!

Anyway, if you had one of those toxic weeks, isn't it time to detox?  I'm not referring about those "magic" drinks or a few days of deprivation.  Who needs that after a tiring week right?

I'm firm believer of food balance.  If I want to indulge, I make sure I have a healthy side dish to go along with it.  Since I am not a big raw salad fan, in fact, I don't find any comfort eating it, I looked around for healthy vegetable recipes.

Good news!  I found some amazing e-books filled with vegetarian recipes that you can download for free today.  From dips, appetizers, main course and even desserts, I'm sure you will find a something that will make your taste buds and body happy.

Have a relaxing and recharging weekend my friends!

Friday Freebies: Paleo Diet Recipes Ebooks

One of the diets I first turned to for recipes when I learned about my children's wheat allergy is the Paleo Diet.   For those who are not familiar with it yet, Paleo or the Caveman diet is a nutritional plan that focuses on eating foods that are not processed and as close to its natural state as possible.  It mainly promotes meat and vegetables.

Since this diet prohibits grains, I know that I can get tons of wheat/gluten free recipes ideas.  Is our family on the Paleo diet? Not really, as we also refrain from eating eggs, dairy and nuts remember?  But there are some awesome recipes that can be adapted to our families needs.

If you are curious about this diet or are just looking for new recipes, I have found some good ebooks filled with grain free recipes.  As part of Friday Freebies, you can download them today for free.  Cool right?

           Have a great weekend!

Friday Freebies: Be Healthier this Fall with Natural Remedies Ebooks

This weekend is the official start of Fall.  As majority enjoy the gorgeous changes of the leaves and cooler temperature,  many, including our household are now suffering from seasonal allergies.   Ragweed, pollen, dust mites are some of best enemies.  What's yours?

Though we have prescriptions on hand, I am always in a look out for natural ways to alleviate the symptoms of runny nose, headache, sneezing and so on.  As along as there are no bad side effects, (which most medicines have anyway), I am more willing to try anything.

For those who are interested in trying natural remedies, check out these freebies I found today.  From simple headaches, to sneezing and even asthma, there are so many recipes you can try.  Personally,  I think these are handy to have since we all have a long and challenging fall- winter seasons ahead.

Friday Freebies: More Healthy Juicing Recipes Ebooks

We made it!  The first full week of school that is.  I can't believe my body is already craving for more sources of energy.  After chugging on cups of coffee for days, I have this strong urge to clean my system and detoxify.

What's my favorite detox program? To be really honest, I have none.  I never even attempted to try any of those fad detox programs.  For me, there's no sense in starving myself and keep on drinking unlimited amounts of water with a diluted pill of some sort.  If ever I fast, which is usually 4 separate days a year, I do it for something far deeper than vanity.

So what do I do? Well, there is only one type of  detox regimen that I feel comfortable and actually felt some results.  Drum roll please. Be a Vegan for a couple of days.  Okay, what I am trying to say is, to remove most of the toxins from the body, we simply eat only fruits, vegetables and seeds for least 3 days.  Sounds hard? I believe you.  Meat and potatoes gal here. That's when I realize the importance of juicing or smoothies.  Personally,  I find it a lot easier to drink my food instead of  chewing salads.  Do you agree?

There are so many combinations out there.  But the concept is still simple, all plant based ingredients and no added sweeteners.  If you are like me who easily gets bored with the same combinations, I have a special treat for you.

Check out these free downloadable e-books filled with recipes and never ending combinations.  Trust me, you will never get bored.

Hurry up! Click away and get them while they are still Free.

             Enjoy your weekend.

Friday Freebies: How to Deal with Bullying Ebooks

School is here and bullying is once again a big issue.  I have heard countless stories about children being bullied in school.  Food allergy kids in particular are said to be a high target too.

Though I haven't had any experience on the subject, (Thank God!)  I know first hand, how difficult it is to be a parent of a child being stressed.  Two years ago, one of my daughters had a hard time adjusting to her new school because her previous one was forced to close down.  While the teachers, students and staff of her new school were very helpful and accommodating, dealing with my daughter's emotions was quite a challenge.  Thankfully, with lots of help, she's way better now.

I can't imagine how devastating it is to deal with bullies. Just like with any school issue, the solution is definitely a collective effort.  Whether you are currently dealing with the situation or trying to teach some awareness, check out these free yup FREE e-books I found.  Keep a copy for yourself and share the link to your friends who might need it too.

Hoping everyone will have a great school year!

Friday Freebies: Juicing for Detox & Weight Loss Ebooks

Hello Food allergy friends!  I can't believe it's already Friday.  I know I have been missing in action lately.  I have been cooking non stop for my hungry swimmers and I barely have enough time to sit.  The more I try to make them physically active, the more they kept on asking for food.  Can you relate?

Anyway, one of the most asked questions I get from friends and readers is about Juicing and Detox.  I don't consider myself an expert on this topic. However, I've done some juicing for months now and even did Dr. Oz's 3 day Detox program.

I love the idea of juicing or making smoothies because it enables me to get the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables without having a big fuzz about it.  Okay, I confess, I am a meat and potato type of girl and I'm not a consistent follower of the juicing diet.  However, I devote at least 3 days a month for juicing/smoothie detox because I love how light my body feels when I do so.  Plus, it inspires me to make healthier food choices.

If you are looking for ideas and recipes for juice detox, here's my Friday free download treat for you.  Take note, I didn't try all the recipes here but I'm sure you will find one that you like.  My tip if you're feeling hesitant, pick the concoction that includes your favorite fruits and veggies.  If you already like their individual tastes, chances are you might like the combined flavors as well.

           TGIF!
